As a fellow WI Teacher, have you been calling/emailing legislators to urge them to vote down the Repair Bill? This thing is absolutely crazy! Talk about pissing on the middle class. eye rolling smiley

Oh Christ, am I busy. Did you hear what happened this afternoon? Where is our so-called President? I voted for this fool in 2008, and will not make that mistake again! I have been to Madison three times, 2 Saturdays, and one Wednesday afternoon (with superintendent and principal's blessing). Here are some video and picture links. They are from Feb. 26th. My favorite is Amazing Grace in the Capitol Rotunda.

I’ll put my favorite thing first:

Amazing Grace, In The Capitol Rotunda:

Waiting in line for buses at East Town Mall:

On the way to the Capitol:

Arriving at the Capitol:

Walking to the rally:

Marching around the Capitol:

More marching at the Capitol, Teamsters Truck:

Standing on Capitol steps, Marchers in the snow:

Arriving in the Rotunda:

Firefighters arriving in the Capitol (Playing America The Beautiful):

“Forever United, We’ll Never Be Defeated”

Drums in the Rotunda:

Drums marching in the Rotunda:

From The Second Floor of the Capitol Rotunda:

“Let’s thank the Assembly Democrats”

This fire engine went by as we were waiting in line to go back

Solidarity!!

On our way to Madison:

Me and my teacher peeps:

The line at East Town Mall:

Firefighter guy and sign:

Waiting for the buses:

Former walker supporter & republican . . . (He got rid of a teabagger for us)::

On our way!

One of many good signs:

Me and my teacher buddies:

Another dandy:

Our beautiful Capitol:

Love the Packer sign!

Damn, there were so many good signs!

The police were great!

So many signs, so little time!

Cute doggie☺

Cool☺

Love it!

Perfect☺

This poor guy was shivering violently:

That’s right, it’s not:

Yay Teamsters!

The corporation of the United States:

Wish I’d have had a better camera . . . this one could be on a cover if done right:

The walls were covered all over the place:

“This is Wisconsin”

Here come the firefighters!

This one would be a great pic too, if I had a better camera:

Letters to scumbag were posted everywhere, especially outside his office:

I look like @#$%&, but what the hell:

And they didn’t!

I hope we get some of this:

He taught prince walker 2 years ago:

My Teamster buddies☺ I asked if I could take their picture, and the big guys says “On one condition, that I get a hug!”

Governor first, then PRESIDENT!

Very cool☺

The one on the right taught with me about 10 years ago. We were in line to catch a bus back to the mall:

Driving into Madison . . the Capitol comes into view.

I liked these signs☺

Me, John Nichols, My friends from school:

Not sure which senator this was, but I liked it.

Cool signs all day!

Our uniserv director:

First coming in the Capitol:

I wish I’d have had a wide-angle lens for a full view of the rotunda.

The steps outside the governor’s office:

“Walkula, sucking the blood out of Wisconsin!”

Another cool sign:

Getting closer to the governor’s office:

This was perhaps my favorite sign:

Getting closer:

Me in the crowd:

This guy was drumming all day, and let me tell you, he was GOOD!!

From outside the governor’s office:

Waiting for news, and chanting . . .”RECALL WALKER!”

ZGot to shake Big Ed’s hand☺

This guy sang “We Shall Overcome,” and he was fantastic!

As a Wisconsinite, a union member, and a Packer fan, I can really appreciate this:

Great stuff Dinger. Thanks for sharing all that! And I don't know how many times I've said those exact words about the President. I feel for other countries and what they are going through, but at what point do we start protecting our own??

Being up in Superior, I have quite a bit of travel time to get to Madison, so unfortunately I have not been able to make it down. Our district is in very good standing with our school board and we work very well together, so we did not stage any walk outs, or do anything that would close the schools down, though we have been very active in the protests as well. We had a meeting tonight and were lucky enough to give Bob Jauch a huge welcome home with a standing ovation. He shared his stories about the Fab 14 and how things went down. It was quite an honor to hear him relay everything! If I do head down to Madison in the coming weeks, I will have to let you know! It would be great to be side-by-side with a fellow teacher (and great Packer fan!) Cheesehead

ACT 10 was upheld and hopefully now the unions will end it's whining and move on to better things.

Did you happen to catch the "Crying Man" after the election? That is one of the most hilarious bits of all time.

"And Tim Tebow just proved he's for real"

It's not MM's fault
