Vikings | Christian Ponder not crisp
Wed, 19 Jun 2013 14:31:57 -0700
Minnesota Vikings QB Christian Ponder didn't look good during practice Wednesday, June 19. "Watching Christian Ponder out there, the footwork didn't look great," Judd Zulgad, of 1500ESPN.com, said. "The passes didn't look all that sharp."
FANTASY TIP: This isn't a good start for Ponder, although it's still early in the offseason. The longer he doesn't gel in Bill Musgrave's offense, though, the more we'll hear rumblings that Matt Cassel may take over as the starter. Whoever is under center for Minnesota isn't very intriguing, though, and Greg Jennings and company may find it difficult to see consistent looks in the passing game.

Just over 100 receptions, 1300 yards and 13 TD's that past TWO season TOTAL. Not sure what you would consider taking a "hit" because those numbers are not exactly stellar.

GJ's performance up to game 7 has shown the "No" reply is correct.

Hard to believe that this guy was a borderline Top 10 WR just a few short seasons ago.

I don't think Jennings is as good as he was in his prime, injuries and age have taken their toll. But he can still play. Put him on a team with a good QB and he will be effective. His performance in Minnesota has not been bad. He still catches the ball well and has shown yards after the catch ability as well. His route running is top notch and his hands are solid. He just doesn't get enough service from the QB. Look at Larry FitzG of the Cards, no matter how good the WR is, if he doesn't have a good QB his output will suffer.
