Reports are that the NFL is not too happy about the prospect of the Vikes playing 3 years at TCF stadium while the new stadium is built. Stay tuned.

I'm just happy they are staying in Minnesota and NOT moving to southern California.

The last thing I want is viqueens in my backyard...

Heard on a.m. radio last night that the new stadium was voted down. The queens can't seem to get it built. Hope they do not move to California...

Vikings | Will not wait for stadium bill to be passed
Wed, 18 Apr 2012 05:50:10 -0700

The Minnesota Vikings said they will not wait until next year for a new football stadium bill to be passed. "There is no next year," said Lester Bagley, Vikings vice president of public affairs and stadium development. "The last governor said in 2006 we'll come back and work on yours next year. That was six years ago. No action this year is a decision.

ProFootball Post;
The Minnesota Vikings can place an order for a special silver shovel.

The kind they will use to turn over the first pile of dirt in the construction of a new stadium.

That is because their plan to build a new home, one that was approved by state lawmakers and the governor earlier this month, got clearance this morning from the Minneapolis City Council. According to the team, the council voted 7-6 in favor of the new stadium. It was expected the measure would pass.

Now, focus turns to specifically what the Vikings and political officials want. There is some question whether or not the building will have a retractable roof, an expense that might have to be handled by the organization.

So, find a new team to talk about moving to Los Angeles.
