Post Counts

Post Counts

It seems that some post counts were lost for several people. In some preliminary investigation, this is largely due to changing usernames, even slightly, during the last move or at some other point in the past. At other points, it seems that the old board stored the username in the message table inconsistently, and I don't know how that's possible. However it was done, it caused posts to be lost.

I'm working on getting this corrected, but it may take a little bit of time to get right.

It also seems that there are some individuals that actually have the post count they have listed now.

I think that the old software would not decrease the post count when a thread was deleted. This software actually counts the number of posts, and there's no way to account for the deleted posts.

See my other post regarding usernames as well.
